The principle is the use of microwave irradiation of wet bodies, making the whole body heat up evenly to reach the purpose of drying. It overcomes inconsistent drying speeds between the surface and interior of thick honeycomb ceramics.
Compared with conventional drying, microwave drying has good uniformity, environmental protection, and high efficiency. This is especially critical for porous materials where traditional heating often leads to deformation or cracking.
